Atlantic Construction Co.: Mudroom Built-In
A 12-foot mudroom built-in, painted to match the kitchen trim. Includes 5 cubbies for the family, a 6-foot bench, and a soft-close drawer for hat-and-glove storage.
Why painted instead of stained
The homeowner wanted continuity with the painted kitchen trim. White oak takes paint cleanly when sealed properly; we use a 2-coat shellac base before the topcoats.
