About Belle Vie
A design and millwork shop on the New Hampshire Seacoast.
Why the Seacoast
Belle Vie is French for beautiful life. We started with that as the brief, that a house should earn the time you spend in it, and we set up shop on the New Hampshire Seacoast because the Seacoast already knew the answer.
The architecture here is specific. Gambrel and saltbox houses on the Piscataqua. White-painted clapboard, weathered cedar shingle going silver, brick chimneys carrying their own weight. Trim hand-painted in a palette that reads correctly through November fog and February snow. The rooms inside are formal enough to host a dinner and livable enough to read in. The millwork goes to the ceiling. The doors close softly. The kitchen handles ten people without moving the table.
That is the lineage we draw on, and the standard our drawings are held to. We work with general contractors, builders, architects, interior designers, and property developers across New England. When one of them brings their client in, we work with the homeowner too. The shop is on the Seacoast. New England is where the trucks go. If the project sits outside New England and the work fits, just reach out. We’ll have a conversation about it.

New England, and a few beyond
New England is home base. If the project sits outside New England and the work fits, just reach out. Studio consultations are remote-friendly anywhere. Millwork delivery is on our trucks across New England. Beyond that, we’ll quote freight if it makes sense for the piece.
