Atlantic Construction Co. came to Belle Vie with a 1923 colonial kitchen needing a full reconfiguration: load-bearing wall removal, new pantry, and a 14-foot custom run of cabinetry milled in-house. Belle Vie scanned the space, designed the cabinetry in 3D, milled in our New Hampshire shop, and partnered with the GC for install.

Atlantic Construction Co.: Hanover Kitchen
A complete kitchen reconfiguration in a 1923 colonial. The homeowner wanted to open up the cooking surface to the dining room while preserving the period feel. Atlantic Construction Co. (the GC) brought us in early, at the framing-plan stage, so we could scan, design, and mill in parallel with their structural work.
What Belle Vie did
- 3D LiDAR scan of the existing kitchen and adjoining dining/pantry spaces
- Photoreal rendering of the proposed design (12 iterations)
- 14 linear feet of custom white-oak cabinetry milled in our shop
- FFE specification (hardware, lighting, stone)
- 5-day install coordinated with the GC
What was hard
The existing space had a load-bearing wall the GC needed to remove. We coordinated the cabinetry-mill timeline with their structural sequence so the new island arrived the day after the temporary wall came down.
